Silver Decor

After a very rainy yesterday, today we have a beautiful blue sky! Sunshine! and lots of blustery wind.

Pumpkin's ears and
the neighbor's ghosts blowing in the wind

an overnight dip in the temp heightened color

Every room benefits from a little metal. Today, silver. Gold's genteel cousin, whether its antiqued, polished, hammered, textured, tarnished, patinated, painted, crackled, leafed, brushed...silver creates interest, texture, sublte drama, and a reflective appeal.
Perfect for a hallway, smaller dining room, foyer.
Hand painted on an antiqued silver ground; handy drawer and storage behind the door.
From Decorative Crafts.
"Twiggy" wallpaper in Silver from Schumacher
"Seawaves" mirror designed by Carol Canner for Carvers' Guild, a family owned New England company.
The bubble effect is beautiful.
Generously sized, 30" wide, 49.5" tall, it would make quite the statement in a foyer.
Antiqued silver leafed chandelier from Decorative Crafts.
Modern but without the hard edge.
"Jardin" silver table lamp with a tangerine silk shade from Jamie Young.

"Ice" drapery hardware from Brimar.

One of Schumacher's modern classics, "Imperial Trellis" wallpaper in silver.

Re-upholster your dining room chairs in this very realistic faux leather, Checkered Tile" in Silver and you'll be happy you did. It is extremely hard wearing and wipes clean with a damp cloth. From Robert Allen.

"Silver Bamboo" lamps from Barbara Cosgrove with shantung shades.

Delos Rugs "Detailed Border" collection. Hand-tufted Indian wool.
Viscose accents give the look of silk highlights without the high cost.

Have a great weekend!
