Lilly Pulitzer for Lee Jofa

The Lilly Pulitzer room in Lee Jofa's New York showroom.
The preview of Lilly Pulitzer's collection for Lee Jofa couldn't have been on a more perfect day. It was raining like crazy and entering this little vignette of Palm Beach was, well, sunny.

For my non-designer readers, this room is the interiors equivalent of a fashion runway show. All the stops are pulled out (fully accessorized, lighting, lamps, art, wallpaper, draperies, a fireplace with mantle, mirrors, ambiance galore).

This turtle is big in real life. I'd like one for my summer home. The one in my dreams. Actually this year I'll settle for a weekend rental on Cape Cod.

Imagine the buyers/designers "ooh and ahh" and mentally edit: "I love those orange pillows but I would put them on a solid gray sofa because we're in New England."

Enjoy the show.

  1. I've been looking forward to this collection... I think there are some fabulous pieces. But I agree, a little Lilly goes a long way! Thanks for sharing your photos :)

  2. I love Lilly!!! And I Love the turtle - some of the pattern is very intense but I wouldn't mind it as pillows.
